Tarachi Gold Corp. projects are all located in mining-friendly and safe jurisdictions within Mexico.
The Magistral Mill and Tailings project was purchased from Manto Resources in February 2021. Magistral is in Durango State, 100km south of Parral, Chihuahua by air and 5km north of the town of Santa Maria del Oro (pop. 5,000). The Magistral Mill was custom built to reprocess gold tailings at a rate of 1,000tpd with an agitated cyanide leach and Merrill Crowe recovery system. The Magistral project has access to approximately 1.3Mt of tailings with a grade of 2.05g/t Au (non-NI 43-101 compliant). Results of a Preliminary Economic Assessment with Ausenco Engineering are expected in the 2nd quarter of 2021 with gold production planned for the first half of 2022.
The Tarachi Project is situated along the Sierra Madre gold belt in Sonora State 220km east of Hermosillo, the same region that is host to Agnico Eagle’s La India Mine and Alamos Gold’s Mulatos mine. Tarachi has the option to acquire a 100% interest in the Project which encompasses a total area of 3,708ha. The Company initiated a 5,000m drill program in the 4th quarter of 2020 targeting areas around old underground mine workings and following up on historical drill results.
